Starting January 17, the MTA will provide additional bus services for A train riders affected by service outages, reflecting their commitment to support commuter needs.
The 17-week-long service outages are part of the MTA's Rockaway Resiliency Project aimed at repairing infrastructure heavily damaged by Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
Express buses QM15 and QM17 will extend stops and add peak trips to Manhattan, improving access for Rockaway residents during the A train service suspension.
In addition to the extra bus services, a $2.75 discounted Far Rockaway LIRR service and free shuttle routes will be available to assist affected commuters.
