Meteorologists predict that it's likely the country will see very strong winds "with the potential for damaging wind gusts and disruption in places" while high seas and spells of heavy rain are also on the cards.
Met Éireann added that it "is continuously monitoring the evolving situation and weather warnings will be issued as confidence in the forecast track/intensity of the low-pressure system improves."
The fog warning is valid from 8pm tonight until 11am tomorrow morning, warning of "impaired visibility and potentially hazardous travelling conditions."
Current indications suggest that it will be a very windy day with near gale-force southwesterly winds developing, potentially reaching gale force in places.
