Met Eireann issues high temperature warning ahead of 30C mini-heatwave

Temperatures in Ireland are expected to reach between 28C and 30C over the weekend. A high temperature warning has been issued for numerous counties. Coastal areas may experience fog but warm and sunny conditions are anticipated. Nighttime temperatures are expected to remain uncomfortable, not dropping below 14C to 18C. This warm weather is expected to boost tourism as many will visit beaches and parks, coinciding with upcoming sporting events and festivals across the country.
Temperatures are set to soar to 28C from tomorrow, with the possibility that the mercury could reach 30C in some sheltered inland areas.
The national forecaster issued a high temperature warning for several regions on Friday from 12pm to 6am on Saturday.
Temperatures are set to hit between 22C and 27C today, before climbing slightly between 23C to 28C tomorrow.
The sunshine will extend through the weekend and into Monday, with a number of sporting events and festivals due to take place nationwide.
