"One was the Sun V, aboard which I started my Thames career when I was 15 years of age," Alan recalls, reflecting on his memory of the Cutty Sark's arrival.
"What we've experienced over the years of Cutty Sark being in London is that there's this real emotional connection with the ship," said Louise Macfarlane, emphasizing the ship's lasting impact.
"If you remember the ship arriving 70 years ago, fantastic, please do share that memory with us," Macfarlane encourages public engagement with the project.
"It then underwent three years of restoration before it was opened in 1957 by Queen Elizabeth II," detailing the extensive work that led to its public unveiling.
