Mellow Mushroom is reopening its Decatur location on West Ponce de Leon Avenue this fall, having closed in June. The reopening will feature a companies-owned store with refreshed interiors, a new to-go window, and additional bar and patio seating. Weekly events will be included in the new offerings. New menu items will be tested at this location before a nationwide rollout. The reason for the previous closure has not been disclosed. Mellow Mushroom was originally founded in Atlanta in 1974 and has over 160 locations nationwide.
