Jack Bilodeau, an 81-year-old man from Westford, drowned after a possible medical event while swimming near his drifting boat on Lake Winnisquam. A good Samaritan quickly intervened after seeing Bilodeau briefly submerge, pulling him from the water. Life-saving efforts were performed on the shore until first responders arrived.
