Timothy Harrigan, 30, faces multiple DUI charges after striking and killing a bear in New Hampshire, with a blood alcohol level of .17, over double the limit.
Police officers noted signs of impairment upon speaking to Harrigan, leading to further investigation after the bear was discovered dead at the crash scene.
Following the incident, Harrigan was put under custody; the person sent to pick him up was also found violating driver's license and registration laws.
Harrigan will be returning for arraignment in Nashua, as he now faces serious legal repercussions for his actions leading to the tragic event.
