Prosecutors in Los Angeles have announced that they will not file charges against Marilyn Manson following a lengthy investigation into allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated that the evidence does not support charges and noted that the statute of limitations for the domestic violence allegations has expired. Despite the outcome, Hochman praised the bravery of women who came forward. The investigation had been ongoing for nearly four years, with various leads and testimonies collected during this period.
We recognize and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward to make reports and share their experiences.
The allegations of domestic violence fall outside of the statute of limitations, and we cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt.
