Kamran Hussain, who emigrated from London to escape deteriorating living conditions on Lansdown Road, expressed deep concerns for the safety of his family still residing there. He described the area as plagued by fly-tipping, street drinking, and public urination, making it increasingly difficult to sell their home. Having reached out to Newham Council for help over seven years with little response, Hussain feels abandoned and suggests measures such as CCTV and regular patrols to improve safety and cleanliness in the area.
I'm talking about fridges, sofas, kitchen cabinets - it's ridiculous. We also have these usual suspects who are street drinking during the day, as well as urinating and defecating.
I was only allowing viewings to take place between 8am and 10am because if the potential client comes after that they will see the hooliganism that comes with the street.
