After the incident on Sunday, the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's Office began investigating the circumstances surrounding the dislodged chair that caused the man to fall approximately 20 feet. The lift remains closed while inspectors, including representatives from the lift manufacturer, assess its safety records, including past inspections. The resort's management has emphasized safety as their top priority and continues to investigate the matter.
The safety of our guests is our top priority, and we are investigating the incident, said Attitash General Manager Brandon Swartz.
