Manchester City will benefit from a £25 million windfall after Borussia Dortmund triggered their obligation to permanently sign right-back Yan Couto, who never played for them.
Although originally signed by City in 2020, Couto struggled to secure a place in the first team, making only seven appearances while on loan at multiple clubs.
