Manchester City has reportedly secured a deal to sign Palmeiras' promising 19-year-old centre-back Vitor Reis for 29.4 million, enhancing their defensive options amidst a challenging January transfer window.
Despite just debuting in top-flight football in June and attracting interest from Real Madrid, Vitor Reis managed to score on his first league start and quickly established himself in Palmeiras' starting XI.
Alongside Reis, City is also set to bring in Lens centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov for 33.6 million as they attempt to strengthen their injury-stricken squad this January.
While City is focused on defensive reinforcements, they are also pursuing Eintracht Frankfurt's forward Omar Marmoush, with demands reaching around 80 million, highlighting their ambition to stay competitive.
