A man in his 40s was left in critical condition after a one-punch assault outside Clonsilla Inn in Dublin. A suspect in his 20s has been arrested and will appear in court. Emergency services were alerted when reports of the assault came in around 11pm. Gardaí are investigating by canvassing witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage, while also calling for anyone with additional information or dashcam footage to assist in the investigation.
At this stage investigators suspect that the victim was struck with a single punch before falling and hitting his head off of the ground.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the serious assault outside the licensed premises to come forward.
