His body has been removed to the morgue at Wexford General Hospital, where a post-mortem examination is set to take place."
"A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested by the gardaí at the scene on suspicion of offences under the Road Traffic Act. He is currently detained at a Garda station in Wexford, a Garda spokesperson said. The road remains closed, with local diversions in place, and the scene is preserved for a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators. Gardaí are now appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the collission to contact them."
Two fatal road collisions occurred early this morning. At about 1.10am on the N25 at Ballykelly near Drinagh a passenger van and a jeep collided; the van driver, a man in his 60s, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Wexford General Hospital for post-mortem. A passenger received non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Wexford General. A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of Road Traffic Act offences and is detained in Wexford. The N25 remains closed while Garda forensic collision investigators seek dash-cam footage from 12.30am–1.30am. Shortly before 7:00am at Culleenamore, Kilglass, Co Roscommon, a man in his 50s died in a single-vehicle crash; Gardaí seek witnesses and any footage and ask that anyone with information contact Boyle Garda Station.
