Gardaí reported a tragic road traffic incident in Grangeclare West, Kilmeague, Co Kildare, where a man in his 40s was recovered from the Grand Canal.
Following the accident at around 8pm, emergency services were called, but sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene, drawing attention to the need for safety.
