A serious assault occurred on Abbey Street and Barrack Street in Cahir, County Tipperary at approximately 1:40am on Saturday 20 December. An injured man received emergency treatment and was conveyed to Tipperary University Hospital for further treatment. Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Anyone in the vicinity between 1:15am and 2:00am who may have video footage, including dash-cam recordings, is asked to make that footage available to investigators.
