National Highways has authorized temporary overnight closures on sections of the M25, A2, and A282, to facilitate essential maintenance and ensure public safety.
The overnight closures will be phased, starting on or after January 2, 2025, targeting specific link roads, junctions, and slip roads for maintenance work.
An overnight ban on overtaking will be imposed on the A2 to enhance safety during the maintenance period, particularly when heavy goods vehicles are on the road.
National Highways aims to minimize disruption by scheduling maintenance work outside peak traffic hours, but additional overnight works may be necessary for urgent maintenance.
