Megan Huggins, a 26-year-old Essex dog owner, has successfully qualified for the prestigious Crufts competition with her four-year-old cross Border Collie and miniature poodle, Lola. After initially experiencing 'puppy blues' and difficulties during training, Megan saw significant improvements in Lola's confidence through agility training. Over three years, the bond between Megan and Lola strengthened, allowing them to compete in the Novice Cup agility competition. Crufts, known for celebrating the relationship between dogs and their owners, will take place from March 6 to 9, 2025, at the NEC Birmingham.
"It's something that I never thought I'd get to do, and it's just a testament to how amazing Lola is."
"When we first got her in lockdown, she was scared of her own shadow. I was quite down about it."
