The Copilot key, introduced by Microsoft for their Windows PCs, is coming to Linux with the 6.14 kernel update. Mark Pearson from Lenovo announced adjustments to the atkbd driver to ensure proper recognition of this key, previously unassigned in Linux's default key mapping. While users can customize its function in Windows through the Settings and PowerToys, Linux users will now have the opportunity to decide its utility, raising a question in the community about the best uses for the key.
Pearson wrote: "Microsoft defined Meta+Shift+F23 as the Copilot shortcut... multiple vendors have their keyboards emit this sequence in response to users pressing a dedicated 'Copilot' key."
