Every sunny Sunday, Golden Gate Park transforms into a vibrant swing dance scene at Lindy in the Park near the de Young Museum, from 11 am to 2 pm.
The weekly event features free beginner swing lessons taught by Hep Jen, welcoming all to join regardless of dance experience, with no partner needed.
Rain or Bay to Breakers may cancel the event, but otherwise, dancers gather every Sunday, even on significant holidays like Christmas and New Year’s.
Participants rotate leaders and followers during lessons to encourage learning and connection, enhancing the communal spirit of this lively, outdoor swing dance event.
