Leyenda is closing its doors after 10 years
Briefly

Leyenda, a Pan-Latin cocktail bar in Cobble Hill co-owned by Ivy Mix and Julie Reiner, has announced its closure after a decade of celebrating Latin American spirits. The bar gained recognition and awards, becoming a local favorite. In their Instagram statements, the owners expressed heartfelt gratitude toward their community while acknowledging the challenges of closing. However, they also revealed plans to seek a new location to continue their legacy, stating that Leyenda has outgrown its current space and is eager to find a larger home.
I cannot express fully what Leyenda, our staff and our community has meant to me. This is my family. Leyenda was my dream and living that dream the last decade has been, well a dream.
As hard as it was to make this call, we know that it is the right decision at this time. Leyenda made it 10 years, which only less than 1% of bars accomplish.
After Leyenda's 10th anniversary this May, we'll be actively looking for a new place to call home. Our little Leyenda has outgrown its space.
