Leader dismisses Tory attack over Bangladeshi ties as 'prattle'
Briefly

The recent resignation of the City Minister amid investigations into her links with the Awami League has raised significant concerns about political integrity in Camden. Criticism of the perceived influence of foreign parties led to heated exchanges at the council meeting, with Conservative leader Cllr Steve Adams questioning the relationship between Camden Labour and the Awami League. The Labour leader, Cllr Richard Olszewski, countered by highlighting recent accusations of racism against the Conservative Party, calling for self-reflection rather than allegations against his party. The entire situation points to broader issues regarding political accountability and reputation.
This is not an acceptable thing. I would ask the leader to please commit to annulling the marriage of convenience between Camden Labour and the Awami League.
We are aware of Conservative Party leaflets that describe one of Camden's MPs in borderline racist terms. They should look at their own house before they start throwing stones at ours.
