Marcus Rashford's ongoing absence from Manchester United has drawn strong criticism from Roy Keane, who expressed disbelief at the young forward's failure to maintain professionalism. Keane's comments come after United's manager, Ruben Amorim, suggested he would rather play a 63-year-old goalkeeping coach than select Rashford due to concerns over his lack of commitment. Further highlighting the awkwardness of Rashford's predicament, Wayne Rooney mentioned seeing Rashford training alone at Carrington, facing what must be an embarrassing situation as parents walk by during the children's game day.
I can't get involved in the conversation. I still can't understand at any level - whatever's going on with players leaving, months left on contracts - a player who doesn't train properly.
Especially if you think he wants to move, which is more of a reason to train properly so when you go to a new club you're up to speed and when you leave the club at least you showed a decent attitude.
I went into Carrington on Sunday to take my kids to game day and Marcus Rashford was out on the training pitch with the fitness coach.
It must be embarrassing for him as parents walk past.
