Jamie Oliver's children's book, 'Billy And The Epic Escape', faced backlash from First Nations organizations for being damaging, leading him to apologize and withdraw it.
'I am devastated to have caused offence and apologise wholeheartedly. It was never my intention to misinterpret this deeply painful issue,' Oliver stated.
'Our mission at Penguin Random House UK is to make books for everyone, but it is evident that our publishing standards fell short this time,' said a publisher spokesman.
'With that commitment comes a deep sense of responsibility,' he added, highlighting the need for reflection and decisive action after the controversy.
