'It's like a drug. It's unpredictable' - Photographer James Crombie on going from sports to starlings, and capturing the magic of murmurations

Crombie had been tracking the movements of starlings for around 50 nights, capturing their remarkable murmurations and forming an unexpected bond with nature during the pandemic.

During a session at Lough Ennell, the pair captured an extraordinary moment on video where the starlings shifted shapes beautifully, highlighting Crombie’s passion for capturing nature.
