Around 1,100 people attended an outdoor solidarity event for Gaza at Dalymount Park in Dublin, organized by Bohemian Cooperatives. A panel featured Greta Thunberg, Palestinian healthcare worker and MSF deputy medical coordinator Dr Mohammed Abu Mughaisib, and Irish activist Caoimhe Butterly, who received a long standing ovation. Many attendees wore keffiyehs. Thunberg described feeling embraced in Ireland, urged continued escalation of the struggle for Palestinian liberation, and stated that Ireland is complicit in genocide. Thunberg connected climate crisis and climate justice to the violence in Gaza and other conflicts, emphasizing universal values of equality and sustainable futures.
