Imminent tornado sparks 'danger to life' alerts for millions
Briefly

More than 1.4 million residents in Kentucky received warnings about a tornado threat, with 22 counties placed under severe weather watches. The National Weather Service indicated that intense thunderstorms are moving across central Kentucky, forecasted to produce tornadoes and damaging winds. Emergency measures include a shelter-in-place directive for impacted communities, such as Enslow Park. The area faces additional storms throughout the weekend, alongside potential flooding and wintry conditions as forecasts evolve.
'The tornado watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles south of Bowling Green, KY to 40 miles west-northwest of Jackson KY,' NOAA stated.
'This line has intensified over the past hour and environmental conditions are expected to remain supportive of strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing brief tornadoes, strong gusts, and isolated small hail.'
Emergency officials issued a shelter in place for residents in the Enslow Park community, telling those who live in the area to prepare to seek high ground if possible, FOX 11 reported.
