In doing so, I want to pay homage to the peoples from whom I descend, who were falsely named as chattel and never consented to such, and to my people still affected by failing systems today.
Let it be an example of what it looks like when we listen to and trust youth; becoming a Youth Council Member has been transformative for my understanding of community.
