Sinéad Ryan, a Wexford woman, has embarked on a new journey as an end of life doula, providing emotional and spiritual support to those nearing death. With a rich background in various nursing roles and a holistic approach to care, she feels assured in her role, largely influenced by her upbringing as the niece of an undertaker. Growing up surrounded by death, including living with family members who passed away at home, has cultivated her comfort and empathy for both individuals and their families during this transformative stage of life.
As an end of life doula, I provide emotional and spiritual support to individuals and their families during a deeply transformative time, helping them navigate the complexities of dying.
My upbringing among death and the funeral industry has given me a unique perspective, allowing me to approach this role with compassion, understanding, and a holistic vision for care.
