After being a lifelong independent traveler, my views on group tours transformed during a family trip to Morocco. Scheduled for another journey in Egypt and Jordan, I was forced to rearrange plans due to geopolitical issues. Opting for a group tour was a leap of faith, yet it brought joy through shared experiences and interactions with fellow travelers, including my kids making friends. This experience opened my eyes to the benefits of group tours, as they offer convenience, connection, and community, which I previously overlooked.
I found myself pleasantly surprised by how much pleasure I got from a group tour...it took almost no effort on my part and came with built-in friends.
Ceding control to a group tour initially seemed daunting, but the shared experiences with others made the trip far more joyful and enriching.
