"Thank you for everything, and I know Julia is looking at me from heaven and I believe she will protect me and she will help me to find different light, different life without her. She will give me support, she will give me the power she gave me already I feel, that I can manage - even I didn't expect I could talk to so many people. But, see, she's giving me the power, guys."
"I can only say, from the deepest of my heart, thank you. Thank you for everything you did. Thank you, that you gave me support that I couldn't imagine I have. Thank you for the text message - forgive me that I didn't answer it but, you know, the priority is Julia. So thank you. You are my power. People are the power."
A mass for Julia took place at St Canice's Church in Finglas with the hymn A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes and bilingual English and Polish rites. A photo of Julia in her scout uniform and her teddy Stitch sat at the altar as mourners paid tribute to the senior infant pupil. Grandparents brought the offertory gifts and attendees heard that words fail in the death of a precious child. Julia will be repatriated to Poland for a funeral mass with extended family. Her mother, Aga, offered heartfelt thanks and spoke of finding strength and protection from Julia’s memory.
