Around 300 families have fled sectarian violence in north-west Pakistan due to clashes between Sunni and Shia Muslims, resulting in 32 deaths this Saturday alone.
Rehan Muhammad, a journalist from Bagan, described the panic of fleeing his burning village at night, illustrating the horror of the ongoing violence and its impact on families.
Authorities report that approximately 150 have died over the period of these church sectarian conflicts, while many families continue to escape from Kurram district to find safety.
After the attack on Friday evening, a senior police officer confirmed that Shia individuals retaliated against Sunni areas, specifically targeting the Bagan bazaar amidst ongoing violence.
