Down Detector logged more than 4,000 reports, with 62% citing mobile banking problems, 30% online banking issues and 8% mobile login faults. A user was able to log in but received an error: 'Sorry your information isn't available right now. Please try again later.' Customers reported declined online payments and demanded transparency on social media. HSBC confirmed the issue, described it as a matter of urgency, tweeted a service update at 11:45am and advised customers with urgent issues to call Customer Services on 03457 404404.
