How we pivoted to studying Ukrainian researchers during the war
Briefly

Our university, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, now operates only virtually, as living and working safely in occupied Berdiansk became nearly impossible after Russian forces took control.
The experience taught us to value things we once took for granted, such as stable communication and resources, highlighting the importance of support and collaboration during crises.
Our new research focus has become our raison d'être, redefining our academic purpose as we share our findings with policymakers, international organizations, and academic communities.
By shifting our focus from nanotechnology and teaching excellence, we aim to investigate the war's impact on Ukrainian academics, responding to their challenges and needs.
