How other countries are trying to gain from Sudan's descent into war
Briefly

The ongoing conflict in Sudan, previously neglected by global media, may be gaining attention as accusations of genocide surface against the RSF. The SAF, after regaining strategic ground including the capital Khartoum, seems to be gaining momentum. Analysts predict a turning point in favor of SAF, while RSF is expected to deplete resources and struggle for support. Recent U.S. sanctions target SAF's leadership for serious human rights violations, highlighting international concerns over the escalating conflict and humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
"I think it's very possible that this is a turning point, at least for SAF," Sudanese political analyst Kholood Khair pointed out. Khair has advised the UN and runs Confluence Advisory, which she describes as a 'think-and-do-tank'. She was based in Khartoum until war broke out in April 2023.
"I would say eventually RSF's resources will be depleted. They will not get a lot of support," she told Euronews. "I don't see any future for them in terms of ruling the country. I do see some future for SAF to get back to power."
