Hot Chip and Sleaford Mods Collaborate on New Songs for War Child
Briefly

Sleaford Mods' Jason Williamson explained the collaborative process: 'On the day we went in cold and just handed ourselves over to it. 'Nom Nom Nom' is a lyrical continuation from our album UK Grim, over Andrew's keyboard riff, built on by Hot Chip and finishing up with an excellent chorus from Alexis [Taylor]. It was important for us to blend our styles creatively.'
Williamson also discussed the thematic element of their second track, 'Cat Burglar': 'It's a weird prog-rock-meets-B-52s jam that explores the narrow corridors of modern human experience. I think it’s a reflection of how life can feel both chaotic and exuberant.'
Highlighting the purpose behind the release, Williamson noted, 'War Child is doing important work in a time where the world is in chaos and although we can't fix the chaos, we can do a bit to help.'
