Texas coach Steve Sarkisian praised the team's defense, stating, 'Defensively tonight, it was just an absolutely dominant performance. We won the game in a physical manner.'
Despite some turnovers, Texas' control of the game was evident as Sarkisian remarked, 'I really thought we controlled the game and dominated the game.'
Texas A&M had a chance to close the gap late, but Texas defense held strong, stopping the Aggies on three fourth downs, showcasing their physicality.
