Hop Aboard The Metro-North's First-Ever Holiday Train Outfitted With Festive Exterior Lights
Briefly

Metro-North Railroad President Catherine Rinaldi expressed enthusiasm about the Holiday Lights Train, stating, 'I'm thrilled that Metro-North can bring the joy, beauty and lights of the season to all of our riders on their way to work, school or to see family and friends during the holidays.' This initiative aims to enhance the travel experience for all passengers while spreading holiday cheer.
'The holiday train is making its inaugural season's journey along all three lines on the Metro-North Railroad: The Hudson Line, the Harlem Line, and the New Haven Line,' highlighting its expansive reach in bringing festive spirit to various routes.
'Officials hope the train will bring back the sense of wonder...[and] create lasting memories during this festive time of year when days are short and darkness is long.' This reflects the objective of the Holiday Lights Train to inspire joy during the winter months.
In addition to the Holiday Lights Train, the New York Transit Museum has also brought back their Holiday Nostalgia Rides, allowing straphangers to experience a trip aboard vintage cars from the 1930s on Sundays this December.
