Darragh O'Brien, the Housing Minister, asserted that the statistical process is independent: "the data has to be 'independently verified'," indicating a lack of direct governmental control over the timing of the report.
The report noted, "There were 2,161 families, 1,245 of them single-parent," emphasizing the significant impact of homelessness on families, especially single-parent households.
