"We need to do business with the US. We have begun to start a dialogue and seek opportunities for cooperation with [Donald] Trump... We have to trade with the US," Mute Egede expressed, emphasizing the importance of fostering economic relationships while reaffirming Greenland's sovereignty.
"In addition to its strategic location, Greenland... holds massive untapped mineral and oil reserves, although oil and uranium exploration are banned," highlighting the territory's potential and the complexities of resource management in relation to international interests.
"Greenland is entering a new era, in a new year where Greenland is in the centre of the world," Egede stated, reflecting a bold vision for Greenland's future and its positioning in global affairs.
"Greenland would continue to cooperate with the US, but stressed that this would be on its own terms and that it was the Greenlandic people who decide their future," reinforcing the importance of autonomy in international relations.
