"GoNetspeed is committed to ensuring that communities have access to more choice, faster speeds, and competitive pricing when it comes to their internet," said Richard Clark, GoNetspeed President and CEO. "The support of Governor Lamont and DEEP will help us to further our mission of connecting communities. By equipping more locations with access to 100% fiber internet, we are bringing consumers the ability to thrive with a service that will support every aspect of life online."
This expansion includes $1.3 million in funding received from Governor Lamont and DEEP as a part of Connecticut's allocation of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Capital Project Fund.
GoNetspeed began serving East Windsor in 2022 and Meriden this year. The expanded service areas are expected to have access to GoNetspeed's service by the end of 2026. Once complete, locations will gain access to 100% fiber internet with symmetrical upload and download speeds up to two gigabits per second.
