Following further investigation, additional suspects were apprehended, and a total of 100 kilograms of wild garlic, valued at several thousand euros, was seized. Police are investigating the suspects for gang theft, underscoring a recurring issue of wild garlic theft in the area.
During further investigations, the officers determined that the three men had probably dug up the wild garlic in the floodplain forest in the Leipzig district of Wahren.
Police later posted on X describing the haul as 'Green Gold,' highlighting the significant value of the wild garlic seized.
