Briefly

"I like the element of thinking back on the powwow history that we have in this country as this place where we come together to gather in community," Lena said about this year's theme, "In My Powwow Era."
"It feels good. It feels like Indian Country. For me, coming from Denver and being Osage from Oklahoma, I'm hooking up with relatives here. I can hear their voices at the microphone and in the songs. I can see them in their dance steps," said Tink Tinker, expressing the essence of connection at the powwow.
"Now getting to have him here my senior year is very special," said Lena Tinker, reflecting on the importance of family support during her time at Harvard, especially her uncle's encouragement.
"We knew when you were little that you were smart. Now you're almost a Harvard graduate," Tink Tinker expressed pride in his great-niece’s academic journey, showcasing the intergenerational support and legacy within Native families.
