Gary Sinise stepped away from acting to care for his wife and son with cancer: 'Had my hands full'

Gary Sinise revealed that he left Hollywood in 2021 to care for his family during a difficult period when both his wife and son were battling cancer.

"And the cancer fight for Mac was especially difficult because he was ... fighting this cancer with no cure. Trying to find drugs and doctors, and trying to find anybody who could do anything for him was like a full-time job."

"As parents, it is so difficult losing a child. My heart goes out to all who have suffered the same tragedy."
