"The incident took place at Peruke and Periwig at 4.55am this morning. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and fire services extinguished the fire making the area safe. A garda spokesperson said: "No injuries were reported at the time. The scene is preserved for technical investigation. "The road is currently open. No further information is available at this time."
"The Luas green line was impacted by the incident for a period of time this morning with no service from St Stephens Green to Dominic on garda direction. Dublin City Council had warned commuters to expect delays as Luas service had been stopped in both directions. However, the fire has since been extinguished after Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene, and Luas operators have announced that services are operating normally once again."
