"Mr Deely, originally from Naas in Co Kildare and living on Serpentine Avenue in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, was 22-years-old when he went missing in the early hours of December 8, 2000. He was attending a work Christmas party at the Hilton Hotel in Dublin 2 on December 7, before going to Buck Whaley's nightclub on Leeson Street, where he left between 2.30am and 3.25am on December 8."
"At 3.35am on December 8, Mr Deely called to his place of work at the Bank of Ireland offices on Fitzwilliam Street. CCTV footage at the rear entrance shows him conversing with an unknown man at the back gate. Gardaí said they are still looking to identify this man, who may have information that could assist their investigation. Mr Deely was last seen on CCTV passing the Bank of Ireland ATM on Haddington Road at 4.14am on December 8, 2000."

CCTV shows him at 3.35am conversing with an unknown man at the Bank of Ireland rear entrance and later passing the Bank of Ireland ATM on Haddington Road at 4.14am. He was six foot one, slim, with short red/brown hair, wearing a mustard and brown checked shirt, beige/grey corduroy flared trousers, dark deck shoes, a green padded jacket, and carrying a large dark blue umbrella. Gardaí at Pearse Street requested anyone with information to call the listed numbers.
