Galleries at Frieze London buoyed by better-than-expected preview day sales
Briefly

"There has been a softer market, but I think what happens inside the tent at the fair when you bring 160 galleries together is something that's slightly different," says Frieze London's director Eva Langret.
"So far, we've had really exciting sales, and it's going pretty well," the director continued, emphasizing the unique atmosphere that engulfs the event.
Hauser & Wirth reported significant sales, including Arshile Gorky's The Opaque for $8.5m, underscoring the fair's attractiveness despite economic concerns.
Galleries like Pace and White Cube also noted strong sales, suggesting a healthy appetite for art among collectors despite external economic pressures.
