"The joint funeral mass for three members of the O'Connor family, who were killed in their home in Co Louth, took place at 11am in St Patrick's Church, Dundalk, and will be followed by private cremations. Mark O'Connor (54), Louise Doherty O'Connor (56) and their son Evan O'Connor (27), who had additional needs, were found dead at their rural home in Drumgowna, outside Tallanstown village, on Monday, September 29."
"Dundalk town fell silent and came to a standstill as the hearses bearing the three coffins arrived at St Patrick's Church. Members of the North East Runners athletics club followed the hearses in silence and formed a guard of honour outside, most wearing odd socks as requested by the O'Connor family. Evan's brother Cian O'Connor and his fiancée, Shauna, followed the last hearse closely."
