'Frequent' rain forecast next week as Met Eireann predicts 'generally unsettled' start to December
"There will be "generally unsettled" conditions next week, bringing "frequent" showers as December gets off to a damp start, Met Éireann has said. It has been a significantly wet period of weather in recent weeks as storms and rain warnings persisted without much respite. However, there is a clean bill of health in that regard this weekend and into next week as no warnings have been put in place by the national forecaster."
"Tonight will be clear in most parts, though showers will pop up in the north and west in the early evening with chilly temperatures of -2C to 2C. Tomorrow morning is set to be mostly dry and bright with only the odd shower. However, the afternoon will become showery as rain builds in the west and southwest before covering all areas eastwards. Highest temperatures are expected at between 4C to 8C."
Generally unsettled conditions are expected next week with frequent showers and a wet start to December. Recent weeks have been significantly wet with storms and persistent rain warnings, though no warnings have been issued for the coming weekend. Today will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells with isolated southeast rain clearing by afternoon and highs of 6C to 9C. Tonight will be mostly clear with showers in the north and west and lows -2C to 2C. Tomorrow will be mainly dry in the morning, turning showery in the afternoon with rain spreading eastwards and highs of 4C to 8C. Rain and variable sunshine continue through midweek with temperatures generally between 7C and 11C and localized stronger winds possible.
