SNCF will resume its train services between Paris and Milan on March 31, facilitating a journey that transforms breakfast in France to lunch in Italy within six to seven hours. Trenitalia will also restart its services between April 1, offering two daily round trips via its Frecciarossa trains. The railway line suffered a significant disruption due to the collapse of a cliff in the Maurienne Valley in August 2023, which required extensive excavation and repairs. Previously, passengers were using bus services as a workaround.
